COMPOSER/ARRANGER
WHAT THE DICKENS?

As composer, arranger, and musical director he has worked on numerous productions at the National Theatre, the Old Vic, Chichester Festival Theatre, the RSC, and in London's West End. For over 20 years he provided the orchestrations for the annual musical at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, and has been composing original songs for the renowned Hackney Empire pantomimes since 1998. As a musical theatre composer, his credits include Where Is Peter Rabbit? (with Alan Ayckbourn), The Silver Sword (with Susie McKenna), and I Capture The Castle and Possessed (with Teresa Howard).

Most recent credits include Musical Supervisor for (appropriately...) A Christmas Carol (RSC, Stratford);  and arranger/musical supervisor for Perform In The Park, a pop-up children's theatre festival which took place in Coram's Fields in August 2023.

 

As a piano improviser, he has provided accompaniment to obscure Austrian silent films at obscure Austrian film festivals, has participated in many performances of Animo and Lifegame for Improbable Theatre, and is a regular performer with The Comedy Store Players.
